Campout fee Due Tonight

The February campout will be Feb 2-4 at Moore Woods. The campout fee of $30 per person and sign-up is due at tonight’s troop meeting.

Spaghetti Supper – February 9

Our Spaghetti Supper fundraiser will be on Friday, February 9, so please save the date. We need all Scouts and all parents to help work at the event. Please also sell as many tickets as possible. Scouts will earn a free ticket for every $96 of tickets sold. Each family will need to provide two desserts (can be store bought or homemade) for the supper. See further details below.

Below are the sign-up links for volunteering for the Spaghetti Supper on February 8-9. This is our big fundraiser for the year, so we need everyone’s help. If you haven’t helped before, please don’t hesitate to volunteer, you will be given directions on what to do. Everyone needs to sign up on the Dessert sign-up and I hope all parents and adults will sign up for a job on the Adult jobs sign-up. We do need your help!

Sell Tickets

First – please sell tickets! Each Scout will be given 8 tickets and if you need more or didn’t get any yet, please contact Mr. Frederick Lee. For every $96 of tickets you sell, you earn 1 free ticket. Tickets are $12 each for adults and $6 for Children ages 5-12. Under age 5 are free and don’t need a ticket. If you sell a paper ticket that is a Child ticket, be sure to mark on the ticket that it is for a Child. Those who have a ticket can eat at the church or take it out. Since we are selling tickets online, feel free to reach out to your friends and family out of town and see if they would like to buy a ticket as a donation. Any Webelos Scouts who come to the supper in uniform will eat for free. So, encourage the Webelos to come join us and visit our troop!

Attached is a flyer that you can post at your church, school, wherever posting is allowed. Also, please share the event on Facebook with your friends.

Each Family Provides 2 Desserts

We need every family to provide 2 desserts for the Spaghetti Supper, and they need to be delivered to the church by 4:30 pm on Friday, February 9. You can bring them Thursday night, 2/8 between 6 and 8 pm if you can’t get them there Friday during the day. It can be a double batch of one dessert or two different desserts. It can be homemade or purchased.

Scout Responsibilities

All Scouts need to be at the Spaghetti supper to work. They will report at 4:00 pm on Friday, in uniform, and will eat their spaghetti before the dinner opens to the public at 5 PM. All Scouts eating must have a ticket (either paper or online), so they can use the free ticket for themselves if they sell $96 of tickets or purchase a ticket for himself for $12. Scouts will be working the serving line, serving bread and refilling drinks, holding signs outside, running the dishwasher, managing the coat room, taking out trash, and helping with clean-up. The Senior Patrol Leader will be assigning duties to the Scouts.

Thursday Night Food Prep

There will be a food prep session Thursday night, 2/8 from 6 pm to 8 pm to brown the meat and chop vegetables. We need a minimum of 6-8 adults for this, and the more the merrier!  If you have a food processor, please bring it.
