Troop Meeting Cancellation - CORRECTION
There WILL be a troop meeting on Tuesday, September 5th, it is NOT cancelled. Sorry for the confusion. Please wear Class A uniforms.

We would like to welcome Liam Grant as a transfer to Troop 48, and his parents Ben and April Grant. We are glad to have you here in Troop 48!
Troop 48 Family Picnic – Tuesday, September 12, 6 PM
All Scouts and their families are invited to join us for a picnic dinner at the church in the Scout room at 6 PM. Hot dogs will be served. Please bring a side dish, dessert or drinks. Please sign-up using the link below with what you are bringing:

Saturday, September 16 – Eagle Scout Court of Honor
You will be receiving a formal invitation in the mail, but please save the date for an Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony and reception for Judd Fontanilla at the church. The ceremony will start at 11 am on Saturday, September 16 with a lunch reception following, and there will be a rehearsal for those in the ceremony at 9:30 am that morning. All Troop 48 Scouts and their families are welcome! Scouts, please wear Class A uniforms.
Saturday, September 23 – Popcorn Sale & Scouts BSA Troop 48 Scout Expo (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
Scouts and families are asked to attend the popcorn sale and scout expo. Set up will begin at 8 a.m., if you’re available to help. All others are asked to arrive by 8:45 a.m. All Scouts that attend will receive a percentage of popcorn sales made at the event. Scouts will also participate in leading visiting Cub Scouts through activities (knot tying, first aid, and Dutch oven cooking). Parents and siblings are encouraged to attend to help with the activities as well. Plan to bring lawn chairs, tailgating tents, and outdoor games such as corn hole to entertain young ones. Please share the event description via email and social media to help with promotion. We will begin tear-down of the event around 11:30-11:45 so that Scouts and families can leave by 12 p.m.

Scouts BSA Troop 48 Scout Expo
Looking for some outdoor adventures? Interested in learning new skills to prepare you for life? Join Troop 48 for a Scout Expo on September 23rd see if Scouts BSA is right for you! Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the sixth grade through high school. Service, community engagement, and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities. At the Expo, Scouts will be demonstrating Scout skills including knot tying, first aid, and Dutch oven cooking. To learn more visit Troop48.org

Our next pancake supper fundraiser will be Wednesday, October 25 at 5:30 PM. More info to come, but please save the date.
