Memorial Day Service Project – Saturday, May 24th
Our next service project will be assisting with flag placement at the West Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, beginning at 8 am on Saturday, May 24th. We will meet at Faith Presbyterian Church at 7:30 am, depart at 7:45 am to arrive by 8:00. Bo Hormberg will have a sign-up sheet at the next two Troop meetings, and we will also need adult volunteers to help drive. Be prepared for hard ground - bring a screwdriver & hammer/mallet to make a pilot hole for flag. The ceremony will be about 30 minutes and will include the Girl Scouts leading the National Anthem and a 21-gun salute by the Germantown Swat Team. If you have ashes from a retired flag, you may bring them to spread on the ground during the ceremony.
BBQ Pork Roast Sale – July 4th
Attached is the order form for our BBQ Pork Roast sale. Please complete a separate form for each order and turn in or email to Richard Ralph. Early ordering is encouraged, so Richard can make orders at lower prices, since the price of pork has increased and will likely increase between now and July 4th. All orders are due by June 26th, and all of the proceeds will go toward a new Troop trailer. Don’t miss out on this delicious BBQ!
Committee Positions
We have an openings for the following positions on the Troop Committee: Treasurer, Secretary, Spaghetti Supper Chair, Chaplain, and Publicity Chair. Please consider how you can help the Troop and if you are interested in a position, please contact Kim Ridenhour. The Troop Committee meets monthly on the first Monday at 7 pm.
85th Anniversary Celebration – July 12th
Attached is the handout from Awards Court of Honor with all of the details for the 85th Anniversary Celebration and ticket order form. Please turn in ticket orders and money to Lisa or Dink Adkins.
