Congratulations to Samuel Lee

Samuel completed his Eagle Scout Board of Review this past week, and upon final approval from the Council, he will become Troop 48’s 71st Eagle Scout. Congratulations Samuel!

Christmas Basket Service Project – Tuesday at 4:00

This Tuesday, December 15th at 4:00 pm (note the earlier time than a Troop meeting), we will be assembling weekend food bags for 45 children at Orange Mound Outreach Ministries, and assembling and delivering 4 Christmas food baskets to families in need in Collierville. Below are the Scouts and adults who have signed up. If you haven’t signed up yet and would like to help, or if you have signed up and can’t make it, please let Mr. Richard Ralph know. We will have pizza for dinner for all volunteers. Scouts will earn service project hours needed for rank advancement. Thanks to Tristan Hube, Colin Hube, Hayden Smith and Will Ridenhour for doing the shopping for the food baskets!

Kroger Community Rewards

It’s time to renew your enrollment for Troop 48 with the Kroger Community Rewards program starting January 1st. You must re-enroll each year. If you do not see at the bottom of your Kroger receipt, “***KROGER COMMUNITY REWARDS***You are currently enrolled with Boy Scout Troop 48 Faith P.C. “, then you are not enrolled. This is a program where Kroger donates money to a non-profit organization based on the groceries you buy using your Kroger card. It doesn’t impact any of your discounts or fuel points, so it’s easy money to earn for the Troop just by enrolling and using your Kroger Card. Attached are the instructions on how to enroll or re-enroll after January 1st.

Break for the Holidays

There will be no regular Tuesday Troop meetings on December 15, 22, and 29th. Regular weekly Troop meetings will resume on January 5th.

January Campout

The January campout will be backpacking on the Ozark National Trail on January 16th (Saturday) – 18th (Monday) on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday weekend. Scouts must have previously completed a Backpacking 101 trip to attend. The $25 campout fee is due on January 5th when we resume Troop Meetings.
